The Set The Stage Campaign

The Set the Stage Capital Campaign goal is to raise $2.5 million of the $8.5 million needed to build a new Theatre Complex consisting of a theatre, rehearsal space, workshops, and offices. These monies will enable TNL to leverage the remaining funds required from our Federal and Provincial governments. That's why we're asking for your support!

The 180-seat theatre facility will eliminate the need to operate from the most constraining of the two existing venues and provide appropriate spaces for workshops, rehearsals, costume and set development and storage. The legendary Warehouse Theatre where GMTF first began will receive upgrades and continue to host smaller performances. These additions and improvements will increase overall seating capacity by 45%, contributing significantly to the sustainability of the Festival and the community and positively impact the wider arts community for years to come.

But it’s never really about the bricks and mortar. It's about what this new facility will enable. More actors, playwrights and producers will have the opportunity to collaborate and grow in this unique creative environment. Existing creative barriers will be lifted facilitating more ambitious projects and richer audience experiences. That’s really what Set the Stage is about; great art that comes full circle to sustain the very places that spawned so many great stories of our culture.

What we’re are really building is a future!
